Hybrid K-Medoids with Energy-Efficient Sunflower Optimization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes should have adequate energy. Reduced energy usage is essential to maximize the endurance of WSNs. Combining WSN with a more significant source, cluster head (CH), another effective strategy for extending durability. A CH dependent on communication inside and between clusters. CH’s level extends cluster’s life complete WSN. Determining required in WSNs while developing clustering algorithms challenging. For maintaining efficiency WSNs, this research offers K-medoids sunflower-based cross-layer-based optimal routing approach. An efficient fitness function generated from diverse objectives used choose CH. After selection, sunflower optimization (SFO) indicates best data transmission line sink node. The proposed protocol, SFO-CORP, increased lifetime by 19.6%, 13.63%, 11.13%, 4.163% compared LEACH, EECRP, FEEC-IIR, CL-IoT protocols, respectively. experimental results showed that it performed better packet delivery ratio, consumption, end-to-end delay, lifetime, computation efficiency.
